This basically happened to me. My wife had a hysterectomy at 40 and took Premarin for a number of years which is a form of hormone replacement therapy. It's a fake hormone with side effects and possible health issues so my wife eventually got off that and our sex life went to about zero. I survived a few years taking matters into my own hand so to speak, but it's obviously not the same. Then I went on statins for high cholesterol which resulted in giving me erectile dysfunction. So I stopped the statins but the ED didn't go away. So I investigated what could be done for me and discovered BioIdentical hormones for men and women. They are hormones made from plants with the same chemical makeup as our real hormones. They aren't put out by big Pharmacuticals because you can't patent thIngs that are natural. So I now take testonerone and progesterone and my wife takes estrogen and a small amount of testosterone and our sex lives have returned to normal for us about twice a week. I feel like a man again. Since these are BioIdentical they also have no side effects. Search the web for BioIdentical hormones in your area and get your sex life back again. My wife and I are both 63. Good luck to others in this situation.One more point about statins - they reduce cholesterol which by the way is what your body uses to make testosterone and your other sex hormones so guess why so many in the USA have ED. I stopped taking stains and the FDA and medical folds are slowly changing their thinking on cholesterol - better late than never.

The most plausible thing I came up with is Statin medication(for cholesterol, which is something a 61 year old man like Covington would probably be prescribed) overdose leading to kidney/liver failure. Motive for why Veronica picked Gregor in particular to kill? Easy to come up with a plausible one there: It might turn out Veronica was originally assigned to Gregor and she was rightly pissed he gambled her away in a poker game. Then again, it's also possible she poisoned them ALL and Andy's the only one that will be fine because he didn't drink anything that night.

I gave this a three because of good writing but otherwise it would have been a one. Tedious and depressing, repetitive, unrealistic, overly wordy, and even boring are some descriptors that come to mind. The main character was terribly weak and, at times, dumb. I know that people with clinical depression have a hard road but this guy never really got help. Medication works best overall for most with this disorder. Simply talking away a depression rarely works as it’s a biochemical change in the brain, per current research, and it takes medication to correct this just as medication is needed to correct one’s high cholesterol. Jack, our hero, a nerd who should have been halfway smart, is incapable of making a decision for the longest time. The 19 year old lost child was very predictable even though the author wanted to spring it as a surprise. The knee replacement surgery that was good enough to last 80 years (they usually don’t last more than 15) still requires Jack to walk with a cane. This is not a story I would read more than once — the really good ones call me back for at least one re-read, but not this one.
