HomeQ & AQuestionsIs there any way to get... Question posted by Lellis0417 on 27 Sep 2019 Last updated on 20 February 2023 by Drkatzjr27 I know this sounds silly, but I am prescribed 10mg of Adderall XR for my adult ADHD. I took my medication two hours later than I usually do (at 9am instead of 7am) and I'm worried it won't wear off before I go to sleep Is there anything I can do to get it out if my system faster, like drinking a lot of water? Melatonin 10MG has the ability to reverse, to some extent, the effects. Moreover, it has been shown clinically, and in trials, to reduce “neurotoxicity” that occurs in the brain over the years as a result of dopamine depletion in the brain.Other suggestions might be to take a antihistamine over-the-counter such as Benadryl. If you have access to prescription medication, obviously, anything that would slow down your central nervous system will work. They say citrus like vitamin C. Hi Lellis0417!I take 20mg of the Big A twice daily; the second tablet is taken if I need it and sometimes I don't. If I'm having difficulty getting to sleep (HATE that tossing & turning as I'm sure you are favorably disposed... lol), I'll take a tablet of Melatonin--and off to dreamland I'll usually go. Antihistamines can kind of cancel out amphetamines. I take hydroxyzine but benadryl can turn it off so to speak The Extended Release Adderall will still run its course. There isn’t much you can do drinking water won’t have an effect. If you're trying not to stay up all night I would advise some Melatonin it’s natural and can help you relax or if you prefer another over the counter to help you fall asleep. I’d also take a relaxing bath
