"Accidentally taking 2" is a bad reason for losing your dick to a priapism. Now, 10mg's is unlikely to do that, but what if they were 20mgs? And you accidentally took 2? Then it may be a problem, ya see? Anyway, there's no reason you shouldn't start with 2.5mg/day if yer gonna take it every day for dick hardening purposes. I think most people take 5-10mg/day for that reason, but if 2.5mg/day works, why take more?
